Winston Wächter Fine Art is excited to announce our first solo exhibition with California artist Casper Brindle, Refracted Matter.
Renowned for his virtuosic command of color, light, and material, Brindle continues to push the boundaries between painting and sculpture, technology and spirituality, perception and sensation.
In Refracted Matter, Brindle’s Light Glyph sculptures continue his exploration of the Light and Space movement, channeling California’s coastal luminosity into works that glow, glimmer, and radiate. Through the innovative use of acrylic panels, refractive automotive paints, gold leaf, and tinted filaments, Brindle creates immersive pieces that seem to float in space, mirage-like, meditative, and electric.
As both painter and theorist, Brindle embraces the transformative potential of visual art. His pieces don’t merely depict light, they embody it, inviting the viewer into an encounter that is both sensorial and spiritual.
Born in Toronto and based out of Los Angeles, Casper Brindle has been exhibited across the United States and internationally in Belgium, Italy and England. His work is held in a number of prominent private and museum collections including the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation and the Morningside College Collection in Sioux City, IA.
