Transformative and mysterious, Casper Brindle’s Glyphs series expands his exploration of color and form, pushing the expressive potential of abstraction. Each sculptural piece consists of a luminous metallic surface encased in a transparent shell, interrupted only by a radiant central icon—an enigmatic form that appears to emerge from the void. These focal points exist in a paradox, both moving through space and remaining still, anchoring the viewer in an experience that is at once dynamic and meditative.

A slim bar of neon color cuts through the picture plane, acting as both a grounding force and a disruption, heightening the interplay of light and depth. Brindle’s use of repetition and saturated color creates a distinctive visual language, inviting contemplation on perception and experience. The sharp geometry of his compositions contrasts with the sensuous, atmospheric glow of color, generating a tension between structure and fluidity. In this space between reality and illusion, the finite and the infinite, Glyphs presents a mesmerizing exploration of form, light, and the ineffable.

Born in Toronto and based out of Los Angeles, Casper Brindle has been exhibited across the United States and internationally in Belgium, Italy and England. His work is held in a number of prominent private and museum collections including the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation and the Morningside College Collection in Sioux City, IA.
