Seton Smith

Photographs by New York based artist, Seton Smith, are at once abstract and vividly familiar.  Smith is interested in concepts of how architecture and environment affect people psychologically.  She invites people to be more conscious of their architectural environments by presenting images that focus on the formal aspects of a given space, such as color, line, form and perspective.  Smith’s work is included in the Whitney Museum, the Los Angeles County Museum, the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Villa de Paris, Musée des Beux Arts, Centre George Pompidou, International Center for Photography, as well as several other private and corporate collections.
