Jeff Joyce’s work makes explicit reference to the history of pastoral painting and the nature cult of the Romantic Movement. He pays particular homage to Nordic symbolist landscapes where meaning is hidden and revealed by the act of painting.
Joyce has had numerous solo exhibitions nationwide and has been included in group exhibitions at the Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art, the Whitney Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art, the Harn Museum of Art and the Indianapolis Museum of Art. The Sharon-based artist has work in numerous private and public collections.
